Anita's Arrowhead Blocks - Done

I am working on a quilt with my aunt and we are both making Anita's Arrowhead Blocks designed by Anita Grossman Solomon.  The design is wonderful and they are easy to make.

My aunt has also finished her blocks so now we just need to put them together.  

Design Table Monday - January 20, 2014

I am working on a gift quilt using Anita's Arrowhead pattern.  I have a few done and a few sewn together for the first step and not yet cut.

I really enjoy making these blocks and hope to get a number of them done in the next week or so.

Tell it to the Stars - January Clue Done

Here is my completed work for January

I am a little unsure about my color combination - all of the fabrics in the quilt but one other lighter rust color are in this block.  But after having done Judy's project in 2013 I am sure it will turn out fine

Cabin in the Woods Top Done

One of the many quilt books I inherited from my dear mother is 'Quick Quilts from your Scrap Bag'.  I immediately wanted to do the pattern called 'Cabin in the Woods'. 

It took me over a year of collecting red fabrics for the cabins but most of the fabrics did come from my stash.   

I finished the blocks on January 8th and got them all sewed together tonight! 

The pattern calls for making a scrappy border from all of the fabrics used in the quilt but I don't really like how it looks. 

I am considering putting a small border of the sky fabric on the sides and top and then a dark green border around it all.  

I would welcome any comments or suggestions.  I have my Quilt Bee meeting at my house next Monday so I hope to get some suggestions from them also.

Pinwheel Charm Blocks Completed

I am working on a gift quilt with my Aunt Bonnie and just finished my share of the Pinwheel Charm Blocks.
