Cloud Nine for Abigail

Good friends of mine are having a baby girl in April and are going to name her Abigail Kristine. I made a pink, brown and white quilt using a pattern called Cloud Nine for Abigail.

I decided to applique her name on the bottom row.

Design Table -February 25,2013

I ordered my design wall this weekend but for today I have a Design Table.

Started a pattern called Weave It To Me this weekend. I have had the pieces cut out for months but just got brave enough to start it. Found out that it is not as hard as I thought!!!

Binding

I finished assembling the baby girl quilt I have been working on. Unfortunately when I appliquéd the baby's name on the quilt I spelled it wrong!!! So I spent two hours on Saturday pulling part of the quilt apart and inserting the correct letter.

Tonight I am sewing down the binding. Can't show the front of the quilt yet as it is a gift.

Striking Scrappy Finish

Our son-in-law asked for one of my quilts over a year ago and I finally gave him the quilt last Wednesday night.

Striking Scrappy is a scraps pattern but to keep it a masculine quilt I used only bright colors and black/white fabrics.

The patten book showed wonderul quilting with varigated thread in the black areas between the blocks.  So I wanted this quilt done the same way.  I took the quilt to Pieceful Gatherings in Fox River Grove, IL and they did a great job!!

Design Floor (Wall) - February 4, 2013

I don't currently have a Design Wall so I use my Sewing Room floor to layout quilts.

This week I have a Baby Girl Quilt on the floor - hope to have it sewn together by the end of the week.
