Comfort and Joy Section 1 - Done!!!

With a lot of help and encouragement by my Aunt Bonnie, I just finished Section 1of the Comfort and Joy quilt project. It is my first appliqué work and I am happy with my result.

Craftsy 2013 Block of the Month - January Done

I decided to do another monthly project through Craftsy - they have a 2013 Block of the Month

I decided to do this quilt in blue fabrics. My largest fabric bin is blue fabrics so I thought this would be a good way to use a bunch of it up.





Increased Storage Space!!!

I cleared out the second closet in my sewing room the other night of the "stuff" our daughter left behind. So after a repair on the top shelf by my loving husband, I have rearranged my stash, UFO's and supplies. My sewing room feels good!!
Now on to sewing!!!

Back to Square One Mystery Quilt -January Done

I am participating in the Back to Square One Mystery Quilt project this year.  See the link on the right side of my blog if you want more information.

Today I worked through Clue #1 for January - here are pictures of the finished pieces

The first month was not too bad. Looking forward to February's Clue.



QOV Top Done !!

I made the red blocks on Sunday and the blue blocks on Monday.  Got up this morning and sewed together the blocks.  This afternoon I added the borders and will now send out for quilting. 

 

 

This is the first Quilt of Valor that I have done and I am glad that I devoted the time to it over the holiday weekend.
